I wouldn't mind longer legend lost sector times if the rewards were guaranteed (like glass needles for rerolling). As it stands however, there is 0 reason to do the long lost sectors to farm when you're already at the mercy of a 25% drop rate on legend alone.

Master lost sectors have a drop rate of about 30% over time. That doesn't mean you'll get an exotic roughly 1 out of 3 runs, but over let's say 100 runs you would get 30. You could also get 25 runs in a row with nothing. The difference in drop rate between Legend and Master is about 25% becoming 33%, honestly not worth the hassle of farming ...

It depends on your own ability and the lost sector. 99% of the time though, Legend will be less hassle and work out better in the long run. If you average 5 Master runs per 30 minutes, but can do 7 or 8 (with less stress) of Legend in the same time, Legend will definitely be better over time.Legend is about 25%, Master is about 35%. Back when you could blow through a lost sector in a minute or two it was less of an issue, but now even an experienced player with a good build is going to spend 5+ minutes a run, and when drop rates are this low, you'll typically have an hour pass before you'll even see a single exotic piece, never mind the one you're farming for.
